1.5.1. you have any concerns about providing information Scopic or having such information processed and stored by Scopic, or being used in any other way described in this Privacy Policy, or 

1.5.2. you do not agree with the provisions of this Privacy Policy. 

1.6. Unless the context otherwise requires, capitalized terms not otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy shall have respective meanings assigned to them in other Scopic documents. 

1.7. The Website contains links to other websites. This Privacy Policy only applies to the Website so when you link to other websites you should carefully read their own privacy policies and terms of services, and Scopic is under no circumstances responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.

Scopic regularly reviews this Privacy Policy and reserves the right to update it at its own discretion, without notice to you. The updates can be viewed here or elsewhere on the Website. 3. Information we collect

3.1. When we collect information 

3.1.1. We collect, process, store and use information about you when you access/use the Website, including, but not limited to, when you: 

(i) fill in a form on the Website (such as the ones on our ‘contact us’ or ‘apply’, or ‘become a partner’, or ‘set up a call’ forms); 

(ii) request marketing to be sent to you; 

(iii) give us some feedback; 

(iv) otherwise make the information available to us (by phone, email, etc.).

3.2.1. When you wish to contact Scopic via the Website, you provide us with the information requested by Scopic, including your name, surname, email address, your organization’s name, etc. 

3.2.2. If you are a representative of our current/potential client, vendor, partner we may process your full name, contact details, position, company you represent, activities in relation to sales process, data on our communications with you, content and results of such communications, our internal notes about you, publicly available professional information about you. Information you need to submit to us may vary depending on your user type. 

3.2.3. We will also process your job applications where you applied for a vacancy through the Website. 

3.2.4. We do not review or verify the validity, accuracy, or completeness of the information provided; therefore, we encourage our users to ensure that they provide information that is accurate, complete, and current. 

3.3. Automatically collected information 

We may gather information about you, your device, your MAC or IP address, geographic location, cookies, log files, etc. This helps us customize the Website for you to make it more easily accessible and show you the most relevant content. 

3.4. Information from third parties 

We may receive your personal information from other platforms to which you have previously granted the right to store, use and share your personal information.

4.2. We may use your data for marketing purposes, including communication about Scopic services, partnership programs, open vacancies and other Scopic-related information. Scopic uses a company called Google for remarketing purposes. That is, Google collects, and analysis information about your use of our Website. We use a company called Google to collect and analyze information about the use of our websites. This information helps us serve relevant advertisements to you on Google, and helps us to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. 4.3. Scopic strictly follows applicable legislation governing unsolicited marketing emails. You can opt out of marketing communication at any time by selecting the unsubscribe option in the email you receive or by contacting Scopic directly at legal@scopicsoftware.com.

4.4. We may also store your information for retention purposes to comply with any applicable laws.

4.5. We may use the de-identified data for the continued development of the Website. We may share the de-identified data with third parties, including with Google.

4.6. We will only use your personal information for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless it reasonably considers that it needs to use it for another reason that is compatible with the original purpose. In case we need to use your personal information for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and explain the legal basis of this usage.

5. Analytics

5.1. We may aggregate and de-identify personal data and use this data to analyze and monitor our Website. In addition, we may analyze the general behavior and characteristics of Website usage and may use this aggregated, de-identified data to maintain and/or improve the Website. The general behavior and characteristics to be analyzed include user interface interactions with the mouse, touchpad and keyboard, etc. We may collect and use aggregated data through the Website, through cookies, and through other means described in this Privacy Policy, including via third parties.  

5.2. Aggregated and de-identified data may be derived from your personal information but is not considered personal information in law as it does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity.

5.4. This takes place from the Website, when you use our Website and in some of our advertisements on third-party websites. These cookies, web beacons, and other similar technologies allow us to display our promotional material to you on other sites you visit across the internet. We may also share information about your behaviour on the Website with third parties, including Google, (including operators of third-party websites and/or social networking sites) to show you targeted advertisements and other content that has been customized for you. Google and other third-party vendors will show Scopic ads on websites that you visit after having visited the Website. To be clear, Scopic ads will be shown on other websites you visit because you visited our Website in the past 

5.5. Our Website uses a third-party service to match browser cookies to your mailing address. We then use another company to send special offers through the mail on our behalf. Our company never receives or stores any of this de-identified information and our third parties do not provide or sell this de-identified information to any other company or service. However, we use Google Ads for remarketing, and Google may use and share your data for advertising purposes. 5.6. To opt-out of receiving our direct mail, you may send us an email at legal@scopicsoftware.com. We will honor those requests, but please understand that it may take 30 days for such mailings to end. 

5.7. A “cookie” is a small file stored on your device that is sent by websites, mobile apps, and advertisements that you access. These tiny files are stored on your device to remember your preferences to improve your experience while browsing. Cookies are important because parts of the site rely on them to work correctly; limiting their use or other similar technologies might affect the functionality of the Website.

6. How We Share Your Information

6.2. We may share your personal information with our contractors who are treated as Scopic’s workforce and with our professional advisers. Inter alia, we may disclose personal information to law enforcement bodies and government agencies and officials if we believe in our sole discretion that it is absolutely necessary or appropriate to respond to a subpoena, court order, or other binding legal processes, comply with laws, report suspected illegal activity or violation of our terms and policies, or it is required in any other cases stipulated by the applicable laws. 

6.3. If Scopic should ever file for bankruptcy or have its assets sold to or merge with another entity or undergo change of control, information Scopic receives from you through the Website is a Scopic asset and may be transferred.

7.1. Scopic uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) services to store information and data. For more detailed information, please check the privacy statement of AWS.

7.2. All information is stored by Scopic in the continental US.

7.3. We intend to protect the personal information we collect and implement physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Nevertheless, we cannot warrant 100% security of any personal information you provide to us.

8. International Transfers

Due to Scopic’s global corporate footprint, we may transfer personal information between different contractors located in other countries. 

9. User rights

9.1. You can request us to correct any mistakes or technical errors if the personal data we store about you is inaccurate.

9.2. You can request us to stop processing your personal data or, if you are a resident of California or Virginia or another state with similar data protection laws, to erase your personal data.

9.3. You can opt-out from receiving marketing communication.

10. Children’s privacy

This Website is only available for persons who are at least eighteen (18) years old. Therefore, Scopic does not knowingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information from children under 18. If Scopic learns that personal information from a child under 18 has been collected, that information will be deleted as quickly as possible. 11. General Data Protection Regulation

11.1. Scopic is hosted in the United States and intends to cater its Services predominantly to US users. Users accessing the Website outside of the United States, e.g. from the European Union, Asia, or any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure that differ from United States laws, through continued use of the Website, which is governed by US law, hereby explicitly agree to transfer their personal information to the United States and hereby provide their consent to such a transfer.

11.2. Scopic adheres to US federal and state privacy laws. Users outside the US use the Website at their own risk, and it is their sole responsibility to comply with all US rules and laws regarding their use of the Website.
