The Musical Challenge Summarized
The music industry has gone through dynamic changes in genre, lyrics, and audience. However, the internal process of writing and reading the musical notes has almost been left unchanged – there is a set of five horizontal lines and four spaces that each represent a different musical pitch. So far, music theory academies and music platforms have improved reading practices, general tools, and instrument visualizations, but people still struggle to read music.
Common challenges include:
- Translating key signatures and accidentals (sharps, flats, naturals, double sharps, double flats).
- Finding and Reading differences between notation in different octaves ks.
- Ambiguity of staffs in complex music sheets.
- Cluttered options and buttons.
So where to find the tools to jump over these hurdles?
The Vision Behind the App
MIDI Sheet Music is a music score software that turned music files (*.mid and *.kar) into easy-to-read scores, allowing the user to visualize instrumental layers in a whole new way. In contrast to the old standard, the platform is logical, simple, clear and easy to read. The application also needed a way for users to find all of the information about it and build online presence. With the desire to increase the accessibility and credibility of their simplified system, they cooperated with Scopic to support the app through a user-friendly website.
The Scopic Solution
Scopic Software developed a WordPress site in an effort to support the MIDI Sheet Music application. The web team stayed true to the UX and UI of the app when designing the site, and used PHP and MySQL to perfect a 2-page website.
The interface included interesting components such as the platform’s functionalities, use cases, testimonials, and contact forms.
