A signal analyzer is an instrument that measures the magnitude and phase of the input signal at a single frequency within the IF bandwidth of the instrument. The digital techniques to extract that audio data information are complex and often require specific knowledge on:

  • vector network analyzers (VNAs)
  • signal generators
  • vector signal generators
  • spectrum analyzers

The company aimed at providing a robust solution that would analyze signal through a user-friendly interface. They believed that through interactive features the tool would be functional and also compelling to the professional users.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic built Solorack Audio, a platform that serves as a signal analyzer with waveform rendering. It provides polyline with amplitude and duration in set ranges that is used as a signal-analyzing module in an existing modular synthesizer. This desktop application supports two channels and has the ability to zoom in and out, as well as move up and down. By using an existing SDK and our own C++ coding skills, Scopic created a signal viewer with a waveform display.
