Metron
Advanced diagnostic tool for pets and animals
Conceptualize. Diagnose. Heal.
The Imaging Software Challenge
While a lot of software exists for the imaging of human bodies, not many are so readily available for animals. Moreover, the software that does exist for animal anatomies is often somewhat incomplete. The challenge lies in figuring out how to create complementary software that can support the systems that are already in place for such diagnostics.
The Vision Behind the App
The company behind Metron wanted to provide an assistive tool for veterinarians to make the diagnosing of animals’ internal wounds or illnesses easier. With this concept in mind, the company reached out to Scopic to begin developing the medical app.
The Scopic Solution
Metron is a veterinary imaging software for use with DR and CR radiography systems. Metron supports a process called “Guided Mark-Up” in which the user is prompted to pick key marks on a defined image. It then uses those marks to compute a variety of important parameters for improved diagnosis and procedures planning.
