OpenVPN Application
The Open-Source Software App That Lets You Create Secure Connections
Keep Your Connections Secure
The Internet Connection Challenge
We use the internet to gain information, connect with people, work with colleagues, and play video games. The challenge arises when we don’t want the Wi-Fi to catch our browsing activity or when we get region-restrictions on specific websites. Luckily, there is a way out.
The Vision Behind the App
The founder of OpenVPN had an idea of creating an open-source software application that would implement a virtual private network (VPN) techniques. With that, it would be able to create secure point-to-point or site-to-site connections in routed or bridged configurations and remote access facilities. With the idea of the app, he reached out to Scopic, a desktop application development company, and brought OpenVPN to life.
The Scopic Solution
OpenVPN joined forces with Scopic to build an open-source software desktop application. With our and desktop application development services, we created a cross-platform solution. During the development stages, our coders used technologies such as C++ and Qt to create exactly what the client envisioned.
Today, users of OpenVPN can bypass geographic restrictions on websites, protect themselves from snooping on untrustworthy Wi-Fi hotspots, and gain at least some anonymity online by hiding their true location by using the app.
